OneAmerica® Adds to Robust Training Program for Retirement Plan Sponsors

OneAmerica^® today announced its latest educational resource for retirement plan sponsors, offered in collaboration with The Plan Sponsor University (TPSU), a nationally respected fiduciary education leader.

The new, on-demand video-based training, OneAmerica Plan Sponsor Fiduciary Education, powered by TPSU, is intended for retirement plan committee members and covers topics such as plan design, fiduciary requirements, best practices for retirement plans and more.

“Education has always been a differentiator for OneAmerica, and fiduciary education, specifically, is often cited by plan sponsors as a topic of interest,” said Sandy McCarthy, president of Retirement Services for OneAmerica. “This program, in addition to our already-robust fiduciary education resources, can support retirement plan committees with their plan requirements and the choices they can make to help optimize the retirement plan – both for the plan sponsor and its participants.”

On-demand fiduciary education fills a gap for many retirement plan committees, especially now when in-person training is impractical. This customized approach also empowers plan sponsors with the assistance they may need in their decision-making. Though not required by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of compliance and oversight, fiduciary training is an indication that retirement plan committee members are actively engaging in their responsibilities.

The OneAmerica offering, which begins this week, is provided to select clients though the firm’s relationship management team and Advisor Loyalty Program members.
